Yesterday, on March 15th visited the Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Loksabha Dr. Jayanta Kumar Roy visited our Unit 2 eyes hospital, Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital Shri Vidyasagar Oswal Eye Hospital, at Kartoa.
He was welcomed at the hospital by Chairman Lion P. C Maskara, Vice Chairman Lion Rajesh Agarwal, Club President Lion Bharat Changia along with Past International Director Lion G. S Hora and other Lion dignitaries. Dr Rajesh Saini CEO of the hospital took the Honourable M.P. on a hospital tour explained to him the services and facilities that the hospital offers to its patients through a well-built infrastructure, skilled and dedicated health staff bringing them from across North Bengal, Bihar, Bordering blocks of Bangladesh and Nepal. The hospital at present is conducting more than 700 camps every year intercepting more than 1,40,000 patient through its robust outreach and bringing in more than 12,000 patients for free Cataract surgery which includes their travel and food.
Dr. Roy himself met the patients and expressed his great joy experiencing and seeing the scale of work that was undergoing at the hospital and expressed his gratitude wishing that the services may extend to more through the hospital. We thank Hon’ble MP for taking out his time to visit this temple of service of ours and for his kind words.
