World Sight Day

World Sight Day (WSD) is our support to the global movement co-ordinated by SightFirst this year to celebrate this annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.

This campaign is to echo the internationally chosen theme this year “Hope In Sight” and we participate to take this message to all our stakeholders with special focus on India and Diabetic Retinopathy.

Pledge

Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital asks all its members and key stakeholder to join you in pledging support for blindness prevention efforts. Identify a list of activities that you can do locally so that avoidable blindness can be reduced in your area of work. Then, invite the community to pledge support so that there is “hope insight” in the community.

COVID-19 and World Sight Day

We are taking all adequate precautions and strictly following all government guidelines at our location when planning media events for SF WSD. Also, we are focussing more on online and onground campaign within your organizational premises.
